We are often asked by clients what programs are available to edit images / photos.

As designers ROI uses Photoshop as our preferred graphic design / editing tool. A great program but this is not necessarily suitable for people not needing to use a graphic design program on a daily basis. The latest version will require you to take out a subscription that would be an expensive option for the casual user.
Fortunately there are some incredible open source and no cost alternatives available. You might think that Free software is inferior but you would be wrong. The alternatives listed below include excellent tools that will help you! Some are free some are payable.
